An Afternoon to Savour - Spring Wreaths & Tea-Time Treats at Neptune, York

There’s a special kind of stillness that arrives on a Sunday afternoon, a softness in the light, a slower rhythm, and space to simply enjoy. That’s exactly what we embraced this weekend at Neptune York, as guests gathered for our Seasonal Wreath Making with Afternoon Tea.

Hosted by the wonderful Susie, the afternoon unfolded in a calm, creative rhythm. Guests settled in with a cup of something warm and a gentle buzz of conversation, before beginning to gather their stems, springtime favourites full of texture, fragrance and charm.

Susie guided everyone with care, offering encouragement and expertise as each wreath took on its own character. There was moss under fingernails, snippets of ribbon trailing across the table, and that lovely, focused silence that only comes with being completely present.

As the florals bloomed into shape, so too did our afternoon tea, lovingly prepared by Lindsey. Sweet and savoury delights filled the table: fresh bakes, miniature filled bagels, and platters layered with homemade flavour. It was a feast in the truest sense, generous, thoughtful, and shared amongst new friends.

Like all our gatherings, it wasn’t just about what was made or eaten, it was about how it felt. There was joy in the quiet moments, comfort in the company, and that familiar Our Happy Place feeling: of being exactly where you’re meant to be.
