A Slow Sunday Morning Brunch at Neptune, York

There’s something quietly magical about gathering on a Sunday morning, no rush, no noise, just the gentle promise of time well spent. This weekend, we welcomed a group of wonderful guests to Neptune, York for our Seasonal Wreath Making with Brunch event, and it was everything we hoped it would be.

The table was set with layers of spring, garden-fresh herbs, and the soft scent of bay leaves and rosemary filled the air. As guests arrived, the mood was calm, curious and filled with quiet excitement. Some came solo, some with friends, but everyone came with the same hope: to pause, create, and savour something lovely.

Under Kirstie’s gentle guidance, our guests selected seasonal stems, fresh foliage and trailing ribbon to craft beautiful wreaths that brought spring to life. Every creation was different, but each one carried the same feeling, personal, joyful and a little wild.

As hands worked and conversation flowed, Lindsey’s brunch began to appear: fresh bakes, layered toasts, and herbs scattered like confetti. It was food made to share, made to comfort - a feast for the eyes as much as the appetite.

There was laughter. There was silence. There was a sense of something being made, not just wreaths, but connection, memory, and calm.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. And to those who missed it, we’re already dreaming up what’s next.
